With out Christopher Robin…Winnie The Pooh shouldn’t exsist….it’s his Best Friend…..I actually did see an episode though with the little girl replacement (Darby)and they did have Christopher Robin on one of the episodes…..It’s just not the same ….Bring back Christopher Robin back Please )

dear readers i love pooh bear and all of his shows but why would you replace christipher robin with darby aka darby is sorta a boy name anyways please put christepher robin back into the show and we will all be happy aka please.

if you look closly at Pooh, you will notice the ADORABLE little stiches are GONE! I know it’s a small thing, but it is just another example of how messed up this whole thing is.

Oh, bother, where to begin? I recieved the winnie the pooh books for my 1st Christmas and still LOVE reading them. I have no problem with the Disney movies or the seris Thr New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh(okay, gopher was annoying, I admit it). But this new show confuses me so much. I know what people(namely Sonny) mean when the ‘new’ christopher is different. WE WANT C.R.!

One word. No. Christopher Robin is a classic, which is exactly why he shouldn’t get a “breath of fresh air”. As mentioned far above, he was one of the few caring boy role models, and switching him out just for profit is wrong.

i also am disappointed with disney removing Christopher Robin. I grew up on Winnie the Pooh, and my 8 month old adores his pooh bear.

At the same time though, I agree with Disney in making a change to the digital animation…or what have you. These types of shows are the ones that young children watch because it holds their attention better than the original drawing animations.

none the less it won’t stop me from going to ebay or amazon to get copies of Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh.

It seems like lawyers are doing the marketing here. Maybe trying to create something new. But there’s no imagination and there is never competition when something is thoughtfully good. All of their marketing people have had to make excuses, no one liked this idea really. It’s a tragic marketing mistake. Disney has painted the White House pink on this one. It will backfire. It’s a marketing disaster.

Hey guys. Long time no see.
I decided to post a comment for on good reason: nic has posted a comment regarding, much to my surprise, Darby’s actual relation to Christopher Robin. I have this to say: Are you sure Darby is really Christopher Robin’s cousin? Not his sister? Not even his (spiritual) daughter? Well, either way, that solves one mystery. I also agree with nic’s points about Darby being a replacement of Christopher Robin for a A GOOD REASON. nic does have a point, you guys. Christopher Robin has indeed hit the trail to growing up. BUT there is one thing I’d like to ask: How come Disney is actually marketing Darby as a character, i.e. a darby plush, a Darby costume, etc., and not Christopher Robin? Huh, I wonder? Could it be that she is actually an original character that they have made themselves? Maybe corporate greed? Maybe just their way of doin’ business? If this sounds all pessimistic, that’s because I might as well sling some mud in Disney’s direction as well.

If you all hate me for agreeing with nic’s comments, fret not. it’s just nic’s opinion.

I totally can’t believe they want to get rid of christopher Robin, when I was growing up it was always pooh and christopher, not pooh and darby, what is disney thinking! If they’re going to get rid of him they might as well just get rid of pooh, even when I read to my 2yr old christopher is in them all, they’ve had him so long why is it just now they want to get rid of him I think he should be aloud to stay!

Hit Entertainment may have messed up Thomas and Friends but I’m not going to let Disney ruin Pooh Bear. Christopher Robin was such a great character. I heard he appeared in MFT&P, but only in 2 episodes! TWO! TWO! He should appear in every episode! I hate you, Disney!

Hello to all!!! I apologize if any of my information is redundant but with a 16 month old I didn’t have time to read all 205 comments.It has been explained to me that Darby is Christopher Robin’s younger cousin and is there because C.R. is off at school but he does make occasional appearances in the new series. I grew up with the silly ol’ bear and his friends and am just as attached to the classic as most but to my 16 month old son (who never knew Christopher) he’s not missing. Jacob loves Darby and Buster and I wouldn’t dream of taking that from him because of my resentments. The show still teaches good values which was always the point of the stories to begin with. Things change, always have always will so I say make the best of it as long as the kids are still laughing
my only gripe with the new series (with the new mickey as well) is the new C.G. animation that has replaced the classic hand drawn cartoons I grew up with,loved and one day dreamed of creating myself. The new animation just doesn’t have the classic Walt Disney touch I always loved. I miss that style so much and hope that one day they will salute the throwback style and bring it back for a series or feature. I’m aware of the Christopher Robin’s gender change. I hope I don’t offend anyone but Nancy Kantner is off the mark and I suspect that she knows it. I think it’s a feminist issue. I’m all for creating female role models for girls,but not at the expense of taking male role models from boys.

I love winnie the pooh and ChristophorRobin completed the whole thing. The new one it just dosnt fit. I mean a dog? In the hundred acre woods??????? Thats just not right! we were just trying to research where darby came from. how sasd to find out she is a replacement. it would have been so much better if she were written as Christopher Robin’s daughter carrying on the adventures from stories she had been told. But such is not the case. Christopher Robin needs to come back!
