A rather expensive easter egg
An Easter egg is going on sale in London with a price-tag of £50,000. If you think that’s rather a lot for a chocolate egg, consider this: it’s studded with 100 diamonds.
The 65cm tall egg is a blend of chocolates from around the world and is filled with peach and apricot chocolate and pralines in the base. The outside is decorated with red, white and orange chocolate stars alongside the diamonds, which are valued at almost £500 each.
The Diamond Stella egg was created top by chocolate shop, La Maison du Chocolat and London jewellers Duttson Diamonds. Bertie says that it’s an egg fit for a prince.
