Catfish accused of Arson
A catfish is the latest creature to be accused of burning down his owner’s home. The Times newspaper has labeled Kipper the Catfish a “slippery customer” after he became the prime suspect for causing a fire in his owners home in Poole, Dorset, in England. This follows our recent story that a dog has been blamed for starting a fire.
It’s thought that Kipper, who liked fighting with other fish in his tank, caused water to spill out onto a power-point and start an electrical fire. The family are safe, but unfortunately the fish tank shattered in the heat of the fire, and the water and fish spilled out.
Bertie says that pet owners should make sure that their animals, fish and birds stay away from hazzards such as electricty and cooking.
