Dolphins have names
Scientists have discovered that dolphins call each other by name. Researchers from St. Andrews University in Scotland have been studying dolphins off the coast of Florida. They recorded their whistles and created a new computerised voice of a dolphin. When they played back the computer-voice to the dolphins, they found that they responded to the “words”, rather than merely recognising an individual dolphin by his or her voice.
