I wish that phrases such as “cut your head off” weren’t used in this story – he could have simply said he’d have them thrown in the dungeon. Younger children literally believe this phrase and have difficulty understanding that it is an insincere threat – and that they shouldn’t say this to someone!

Otherwise, it is a great story about a prince learning a little about the world outside the palace.
