Children’s books you might not want
Newsicus Maximus has a wonderful list of the Top Ten Bizarro World Children’s Books. You probably won’t want to buy your children a book called Poo (and it’s not about a bear of little brain). Natasha won’t be reading that one – nor will she be telling our listeners that Marijuana is “Just a Plant” – that is really reserved for children of the Flower Power Generation. The Pagan Kids Anecdote Book might be the antidote for those listeners who complained about us doing Bible Stories (others seemed to love them in equal measure, and we aren’t trying to indoctrinate anyone, by the way, just tell good stories).
Slovenly Peter has been recommended to us by a listener recently – it was the inspiration for Edward Scissor Hands – so we are keeping an open mind about this German Classic. We might even do it one day.
