There’s a lot of fun to be had exploring Flickr – the photo sharing site – using tags. When people upload pics onto Flickr they generally give each photo a “tag” and you can sort the entire vast collection by key-words. For example you will be amazed how many pics there are of muppets:

To explore other subjects, keep the formula of the link and change the last word. Try kitten, puppy, toys, zoo, elephant, Pooh, Donald Duck, Ferrari, bike, race, royal, prince…. whatever takes your fancy.
To go a step further, you can explore Flickr clusters of tags. For instance, tags associated with “red” will throw up some truly beautiful pictures.

Change “red” to “green” and you will find a few frogs. (or if you don’t, just change it tothe word “frog” and you will see plenty of Bertie’s friends).
Flickr is a fairly safe environment to explore. You won’t find anything too terrible on it.
Thanks Michael, that really is a great search application for Flickr. Perhaps Flickr will put something like it on their own site one day.
Try the Flickr Related Tag Browser to search tags and receive related tag suggestions. For example, search for “frog” and see pictures of frogs, but also related tags like “green,” “zoo,” “pond” etc. Then click on one of those and away you go!
