The Getaway by Ed Vere
In this our first Storynory Extra Natasha meets Ed Vere, a fine artist who writes and illustrates Children’s books. Ed’s book, The Getaway, is about a bandit mouse who is on the run after he broke into Moo O’ Sullivan’s Cheese Parlour.
Ed’s illustrations are a fantastic collage of photographs, cartoons, speech bubbles and more. And the more you look at them, the more you find in them.
Natasha spoke to Ed in his studio in the East End of London. Duration 7.5 minutes.
You’ll find more pictures of Ed, Natasha, and Fingers McGraw in our Flickr Group which you are invited to join.
Your website is adorable, I am a K thru 5 teacher and was searching for Greek Myths (children’s versions) for my classroom, when I stumbled upon your website. It is lovely, and quite a work in progress.Your stories will indeed be read in my class! Lovely, simple editions … I am bookmarking you and look forward to your next addition to this site.
