I agree with Vandana! You could say she had learned her lesson…but then, you could also say that she had valued originality and art. I think those musical devices sound pretty neat, too.

Anyway, he wrote a very similar story called The Nightingale, where the emperor of China prefers a mechanical bird to a real one. But the real one winds up saving him and all is forgiven in the end.
