The story is about a King in Crete thats wants a fabulous palace. He commissions an architect from a faraway land and builds a labyrinth that houses a Minotaur. Theseus sails in search to kill the Minotaur. Ariadne gave Theseus a ball of thread to help him through the maze. He found the Minotaur and stabbed him with his spear. Theseus found his way back through the maze and was greeted by Ariadne who was going to be his bride. He set sail back to land with Ariadne. They stopped at the island of Naxos where they gathered supplies and left Ariadne. The gods look over Theseus and set bad weather to wreck his ship. His ship was pulled through and he had to replace the sails with black ones which meant that he hadn't killed the Minotaur. When he returned the old king drowned himself because of the bad news.
