Thank you for listening. This is a funny story by Aesop. The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse are characters very opposite to one another and lead very different lives in the country and in the Town. You many enjoy other Aesop’s fables including The Hare and The Tortoise and The Rat and The Elephant.

Thank you for your comment , The Town Mouse and The Country Mouse is a funny Aesop’s fable in which
the Two Mice discover how their lives are very different . In the Town the food is never short and the Church always helps
but in the country the food is fresh and from the farm and in plenty in the larder.

This Aesop tale in which the Town Mouse and the Country mouse both experience each others very different lives in the town and country. Aesop’s fables always have character animals that tell the stories in the first person. The two mice in this poem are very opposite in their ways. The only thing the two mice have in common is that they both like cheese. It is funny that the cheese they talk of in the ladder is not their own but that of the owners of the homes they sneakily live in!
