Dear Ruth, We can’t read Twight because of copyright (we don’t have permission from the publisher) – but you can get it from http://audiblepodcast.com/storynory and you find most modern books there as audio readings. If you would like something modern on Storynory, perhaps you could Gladys and the chiX or Katie the Witch.

Can I ask you a request? I don’t mean to offend you but can you like read more exciting stories? Like the twilight saga or something that is usually popular and well read these days??? I don’t mean that your stories are bad or anything. But I just want to listen to some other stories other than Bertie or ‘classicy’ stories for a change. I hope you understand what I’m talking about. Hi Sabz, I’m really glad you like A Christmas Nutcracker. The music is based on Tchaikovsky and we just bought what are called “royalty free” tracks – which is basically music you can use for film, theatre, and of course stories. . We are planning to have a few stories in 2010 with specially commissioned music or musical arrangements including some songs.

yes, the music did go off and on like so, but that was a recording of it! The story in itself is a little boring, the ballet is better, but Natasha did a great job!

With the Nutcracker, however, the music at the start seemed to switch rapidly from very quiet to very loud. Was the “ducking” done properly? Is it just my system or do others notice this too? It’s no big deal, just a little distracting.
