I am a professional sound mixer and quite often your background music will suddenly become very loud and then soft again as it fills very small gaps in the speaking. This is not how it's done in the industry and makes your stories with music a bit amateurish. Typically stories or films will either fade up or down or keep a constant volume the whole way.
