I enjoyed this story very much. I just have 1 question. In this story, both Katie and Isis use the word ‘moggy’ which I’m unfamiliar with. Could you please tell me what it means? I’m guessing it’s a cat though…because whenever it was used, the user was talking about Solomon.

Katie and the Cat Who Talked, is a chapter in which we see how Katie is helped by Solomon, her cat who talks as she learns her magic art of Spell making and does her homework. They fall out but as the cat gossips about her but with the help of Isis Katie an the Cat are re united. Typically Witch’s are known to have cats that are black to help them in their magic deeds and we see it is important for Katie to have a black by her side if she is to continue doing her magic work and learning to be an ordinary witch.

‘Katie and the Cat who Talked’ is great chapter four in the series, where we see Katie and the relationship between her black cat Solomon who can talk. Katie and the cat fall out as he gossips about her at school, but with the help of Isis they forgive each other. Witch’s are typically known to have black Cats and they soften help them out with their magic as we see Solomon doing for Katie with her magic spell home book.
