Dear Sarah, we can only do stories which we write ourselves, or are “classics” which are out of copyright – that means we don’t have to pay huge sums of money to the author to do them (and even then the author might not agree).

Hi! I have a big favor to ask of you people here at http://www.storynory.com! I am just wanting to know if you can put in some stories that are from Erin Hunter. Also, the one and the only Rohld Dahl. They are my favorite authors. I just want some stories from authors that lots of people know. Because Erin Hunter, and Rohld Dahl are very popular right now. So, can you and the rest of the story nory people think about it.

Dear Helpful Person, Thank you for a very good idea. It’s something that we would like to do in a way, but have held back from doing for the following reason. Collecting personal information off kids is a very sensitive issue. I think that part of the reason we get lots of comments is because it’s all anonymous apart from the first name. This means people can easily understand that this is a safe site for kids to interact with.

We do have our Facebook group – see sidebar – for parents and adults. We might extend this one day for something we run ourselves.

It’s true that sites like Club Penguin have very managed to get around these issues, and perhaps we should revisit it. One option might be to make a premium club where people pay a small amount to join. That way we know that we at least have an adults permission for this. Anyway, it’s more complicated than it first seems.
