I'd like to apologise for some of the less than appropriate advetisements that have started cropping up in our Google Adsense sidebar on the right. Thank you to those visitors who have pointed them out to us.

Google is supposed to send us 'contextual' ads, based on the content of our pages - but although it's jolly clever, it's not full-proof. That said, it gets it right almost all the time.

I banned one ad using Google's filter, and it took an hour or so to disappear. Now I've spotted another one, and have removed the Google ads on the right-side of the site until the latest banning has had a chance to be set in stone.

Apologies - I don't think anything too horrendous has cropped up - but somethings that weren't quite right for our young audience.

Ads in general are a nuisance, but we think Google's are the least obtrusive. We are experimenting with the banners across the top, which bring in some extra revenue. I don't mean you to get out the hankies, but we run Storynory at a loss for the moment, so we do need the revenues.... Of course one day Storynory will make Bertie very rich and he will turn back into a prince... hope ... hope....
